AEVAFEM Endometriosis Centre, consists of a dynamic multidisciplinary team providing high-quality and evidence-based care that aims to assess and treat women with all grades of endometriosis ranging from mild disease to the most severe forms involving the bladder and bowel.
Our mission is to provide state-of-the-art, high-quality, evidence-based and patient-centred treatment for the management of all grades of endometriosis.
We believe that Women afflicted with Endometriosis have specific needs and unique challenges. They need specialist care, diagnosis, and ongoing management throughout their life.
What do we offer?
Expertise includes medical & surgical management of endometriosis, advanced laparoscopic (key-hole) surgery, pain management, fertility management and gynaecological ultrasound.
What conditions do we treat?
Endometriosis is unique as it affects every individual differently. The main reasons for presentation are pelvic pain and infertility. Aggressive forms of endometriosis (deep infiltrating endometriosis) may cause severe dysmenorrhoea (period pain), dyspareunia (pain with sex), bowel and bladder symptoms such as dyschezia (pain while opening bowels), Cyclical hematuria (bleeding with urination during periods).

Dr Sharavani Gupta (FANZCA) is a Consultant Anaesthetics since 2008 and has special interests in Pain management, Daycare anaesthesia, Obstetric Anaesthesia. Her unique skill set allows her to manage patients with Endometriosis who suffer from chronic debilitating pain not only during their surgical anesthesia but later in the post-operative period as well, being a part of the Acute Pain Team.
